The image looked out of proportion so I checked and other sources say the Volcano is 30 Metres tall, not 3600 Ft, as it appears to imply here. Maybe the plumes rise to that height but the eggs are huge fir eggs and the Volcano, small for a Volcano.

It’s a complicated result of positioning of the earth in space, the tilt of the earth on its axis, the sun’s sunspot activity and the amount of radiation from solar weather. They are encased in what is commonly referred to as a mermaid’s purse and are not referred to as a mermaid’s purse and are not round eggs. If the picture is deceptive how much of the article is deceptive? I’m removing sustainability times from my regular reading list.

Why would you use such a misleading picture for your article with a misleading caption underneath it? Pacific White skate eggs look nothing like this! No where in your article does it say “artists rendition” but instead the caption reads “breathtaking view” leading the reader to believe this photo is real. So whilst fully engaged, thinking some sort of giant underwater egg laying chicken with fins and rollerblades exists (because honestly unless you’re a marine biologist or at very least enthusiast, no one knows what a skate is as far as the ocean goes), you add to their already understandable skepticism and use a horribly misleading photo and show an understand chicken farm? One of the worst articles I’ve ever read.
Not a shred of proof. Where are the images and direct sources? There are other “science” stories that are even thinner in substance than this floating around just to float the facade of scientific determinism.
